I homeschool my children and we are planning a long trip in the next 2 years (not around the world, but through the Southern Hemisphere over a few months). I have been reading your book as a read aloud to the kids and we finished it today. It has been a wonderful experience. Not only have we learnt so much about the world, but it has nourished our desire to travel ourselves. Thank you for providing this reading list- such a great resource, and for sharing your journey with us.

Thanks for the kind comments! I love to travel vicariously and if you keep a travel blog please let me know what it is. Best of luck to your family as you travel. I hope you have a rich experience. I know it has impacted our family for the better in many immeasurable ways.
